Discover two great French Canadian cities on this 7-day vacation. Start in Montréal, Canada’s second-largest city and one of her liveliest. Enjoy a sightseeing tour with plenty of time to explore on your own. Perhaps visit the Montréal Biodome, a combined botanical garden, aquarium, and zoo, or check out the Montréal Tower. At 575 feet, it stands as the world’s tallest inclined tower. Also explore Montréal’s “Underground City,” which links many major buildings and shopping malls in the area. Then, travel by train to Québec City, with plenty of free time for independent activities after your sightseeing tour. The only walled city in Canada, Québec City has a definite European feel. The historical section is the only urban area in North America that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within the walls are the Place d’Armes, the Laval Seminary, and the ancient Place Royale. Nestled between Québec City and the St. Lawrence River is the Plains of Abraham, one of the world’s most prestigious parks. Spend time exploring the many historic sites, travel over the Ile d’Orleans, view Montmorency Falls, or see Old World houses in Lower Town.

Montréal: Doubletree Plaza Montréal, Located in the heart of downtown Montréal, the Doubletree Plaza boasts easy access to all the city’s best attractions, landmarks, cafés, restaurants, shops, bars, lounges, and nightlife. Québec City: Hilton Québec, Located next to Congress Centre and just a short walk to the walled Old City, the hotel features large guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, pool, fitness room, restaurant, and bar.

Day 1:
Montréal. Arrive in Montréal. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2:
Montréal. Guided morning sightseeing covers over 200 points of interest including the Notre Dame Basilica, Old Montréal, Mount Royal Park, Olympic Park, and Montréal Botanical Garden.

Day 3:
Montréal. Full day at leisure.

Day 4:
Montréal–Québec City. Travel to Québec City by VIA RAIL train (coach).
